  Non-Structural Technicians are expected to have the following knowledge as they complete each I-CAR® ProLevel™
  • Remove and install trim and hardware

  • Identify various vehicle materials, bolt-on parts, and movable glass

  • Perform steel cosmetic straightening and plastic repair
 
  • Adhesive bonding

  • GMA (MIG) weld steel

  • Squeeze-type resistance spot weld

  • Diagnose wind noise and water leaks
 
  • Remove and install welded and adhesively bonded exterior panels on vehicles with no structural damage

  • GMA (MIG) weld qualified

  • Straighten aluminum cosmetic damage

  • Strongly encouraged to maintain ASE Non-Structural (B3) certification

  • Receive role-relevant annual training
