Platinum Program RequirementsWhen you attend an I-CAR program and successfully complete the post test, you earn points valid towards Gold Class and Platinum requirements. To earn the Platinum Individual designation, you need to achieve 10 tested points. Points are earned by successfully completing tested training from I-CAR and Industry Training Alliance members. For traditional I-CAR courses, the end-of-course exams must have been ordered before 10/1/2005 and be successfully completed in order to apply those points toward the Platinum designation. No additional testing is necessary if points are earned through other I-CAR delivery methods or through I-CAR Industry Training Alliance providers. Platinum Individual Qualifications Qualifications for the Platinum Individual program are structured with the collision industry professional in mind. Platinum Individual Qualifications (Effective January 1, 2007):
Please note: Platinum Individual designees who were grandfathered into the new requirements on January 1, 2007 will need to follow their ongoing training requirements of 2 points every two years for their first renewal after January 1, 2007. For these individuals, all subsequent renewals will require 2 points of ongoing training annually. When you've achieved the Platinum Individual designation, you will automatically receive a membership wallet card and certificate. By displaying the certificate in your work area, you show your employer and customers your commitment to training.
