ROBERT RENWICK, I-CAR NEW ZEALAND FOUNDER, AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL –July 9, 2012 – I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, is pleased to announce that Robert Renwick has been named a recipient of this year’s New Zealand Royal Honour. The New Zealand Royal Honour is awarded by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to recognize and thank those who have served in the spirit of the New Zealand character. Renwick received recognition as Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to the collision repair industry. I-CAR New Zealand was formed in 1987 and has flourished over the last 25+ years with Renwick as part of its leadership team. His involvement with NZMITO, New Zealand Motor Industry Training Organization, has allowed the opportunity for I-CAR training and materials to form the basis for apprentice collision repair training. Bill Stage, Senior Director of Segment Development said, “Robert’s long-standing dedication to collision repair training in New Zealand has made his contributions to the I-CAR family and the inter-industry at large very valuable. His personal efforts to educate his countrymen will be an important part of his legacy,” Stage continued, “We are pleased to congratulate Robert for earning this distinguished recognition.” In 2005, Renwick was awarded the prestigious Chairman’s Award. The Chairman’s award is bestowed on an individual who has made significant or extraordinary contributions to the I-CAR organization and is selected by the I-CAR Executive Committee and presented by the Chairman of the International Board of Directors. In addition to his professional accolades, Renwick is respected in the industry as an ethical, forthright, well-liked member of the I-CAR family.
