I-CAR GOLD CLASS PROFESSIONALS HONORED BY AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR COMPANYFor the third consecutive year, the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation is part of the American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Honda and Acura dealer-affiliated recognition program. The American Honda Parts and Service Operations Division is recognizing Honda and Acura dealership owned collision repair facilities that are I-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses for their commitment to promoting collision repair training with their dealers and for their significant investment in providing the highest level of quality expected by their customers.
"Recognition programs, such as the American Honda program, demonstrate the value of collision repair training. This recognition is an additional tool that help the businesses demonstrate to their customers their commitment to proper repairs," stated I-CAR Executive Vice President & CEO Tom McGee. "I-CAR is pleased that American Honda continues to recognize the achievements of their dealers." The Gold Class Professionals program was created in 1990 to recognize those businesses that are committed to quality and excellence through training. Holding the Gold Class designation is one of the highest forms of recognition for training a business can earn in the collision industry. Gold Class businesses are dedicated to providing their customers with efficient, safe, and high-quality repairs. They are confident they can properly repair their customers’ collision-damaged vehicles and understand the need to continually update their training and knowledge of the collision repair process. For more information on the Gold Class Professionals program, or for a complete list of Honda and Acura Gold Class businesses being honored by American Honda, view the PDF below or contact I-CAR Marketing Specialist Krista Flanagan at 800.422.7872, Ext. 243.

I-CAR MODIFIES RECOGNITION OF LONG-TERM GOLD CLASS BUSINESSESIn June of 2003, the I-CAR e-newsletter began recognizing new and long-term Gold Class businesses. Including a list of Gold Class businesses that have been Gold Class for at least 10 consecutive years, the businesses were listed during their anniversary time. To more clearly recognize these businesses for their outstanding training achievement, I-CAR has slightly changed the manner in which Gold Class businesses are recognized in the I-CAR e-newsletter.
***** I-CAR would like to recognize and thank the long-term members of the Gold Class Professionals program. We are proud of the many businesses that have taken on the challenge of maintaining thier Gold Class status and look forward to seeing the number continue to expand. An elite group has qualified as Gold Class Professionals for over a decade, nine of which joined in 1990. These businesses are quickly approaching 14 consecutive years as Gold Class Professionals. They are listed below in the order that they joined the program:
The following businesses have maintained the Gold Class designation for at least 10 consecutive years. All businesses that have been Gold Class for at least five or 10 consecutive years also have a special Gold Class symbol next to their business name in the online Gold Class Business Directory. Gold Class recognition will occur every other month in the e-newsletter. The next recognition article will appear in the May 10, 2004 issue. I-CAR is grateful for the dedication shown by all of its Gold Class businesses, and looks to a future where every person in the collision industry has the necessary technical knowledge and skills relevant to their position to achieve complete and safe repairs.
